Katrina outshines Aishwarya!

It is believed that looking at Aishwarya Rai’s international recognition and admiration she was being considered by Mattel to be the next celeb face of the popular doll, Barbie. Unfortunately, Ash’s prior commitments didn’t allow her to give a nod. But this did wonders for the beautiful Katrina Kaif who has now bagged the honour of having a Barbie designed on her. She recently walked the Lakme Fashion Week ramp at the ‘Barbie Doll’d up’ show and had everybody in awe. Many were of the opinion that no other celeb could have made a better Barbie.

Katrina has surely outshined Aishwarya when it comes to popularity and her getting selected by the makers of Barbie is not just one reason that points towards that. We present some instances where the young actress has outdone Aishwarya Rai.

Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai exudes that it can even leave speechless a hard-bitten politico like Amar Singh who has mastered the turn of phrase and is used to being surrounded by TV reporters eager for a sound byte.
That's exactly what happened at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Tuesday as Aishwarya arrived in style to receive her Padma Shri civilian honour from President Pratibha Patil.

Tall and lissome and clad in an embroidered pink sari, she was quite naturally the cynosure of all eyes as she regally swept into the ornate Durbar Hall for the ceremony.

It was only a little later that the audience realised that she was accompanied by her equally tall father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and the rather shorter Amar Singh, who is the general secretary of the Samajwadi Party and a very visible face on TV these days in the run up to the general elections.

As the TV cameras rolled and the still photographers clicked away furiously, Aishwarya quite visibly savoured the moment even as Singh seemed lost.

Cut to the Banquet Hall where the guests adjourend to after the ceremony for high tea.

As she entered, Aishwarya was quickly surrounded by eager autograph seekers thrusting forward everything from invitation cards to writing pads to pieces of paper for her to sign.

A smaller group surrounded Bachchan and as for Amar Singh, he moved from one to the other, not quite knowing what to do.

Finally, he decided to call it a day and slunk into the background, his expression seeming to say: "What am I doing here?"

And, when Aishwarya trooped out as grandly as she had swept in, Amar Singh quietly followed her and Bachchan.

"Come on, give him a break," remarked a wag. "Perhaps he's feeling lost because this is one place he can't play his politics."

"It's not that," remarked another. "It's called the Aishwarya effect of being overshadowed."

London: Freida Pinto, who shot to fame after starring in Oscar-winning British film Slumdog Millionaire has emerged as the highest paid Indian actress in Bollywood, even overtaking Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif.

The earnings of 24-year-old Pinto has crossed 2 million pounds, overtaking Bollywood stars like Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya Rai. If the report is correct, the progress of the one-film actress is phenomenal.

"Freida can't be compared to Aishwarya, because we're not pitching her as an Indian girl in international films. Freida is a true global face," said Anirban Das, CEO of her management company. The model-turned actress has already been signed for American director Woody Allen's next film, to be filmed in London this summer. She will co-star with Josh Brolin and Sir Anthony Hopkins in the film.

She has also signed top director Julian Schnabel's new film based in Israel and Palestinian Authority. She has started shooting for Miral, based on the book by Palestinian-Italian writer Jebreal.

Not Ash, its Kat to become Barbie doll

Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has declined to be immortalised as a Barbie doll due to her professional commitments.

It was earlier reported that representatives of the 35-year-old actress were in negotiations with Barbie's manufacturer Mattel, who planned to give the iconic doll a Bollywood face. But the deal did not take off.

Since 1994 when Aishwarya won the Miss World title, the company has made numerous attempts to make a celebrity doll modelled on the Indian beauty. However, she could never get time for their endeavour, due to her professional commitments, she said.

Yet again on the doll's 50th anniversary, Aishwarya was approached to appear decked up as a celebrity Barbie.

"Mattel was keen to have the actress walk the ramp on Lakme Fashion Week 'Barbie dolled up' in a winning design as Single Likeness Barbie, which would be unveiled and auctioned for a charity of her choice," said a statement issued by Aishwarya's spokesperson.

However, the actress opted out due to her prior commitments as she did not want to cause inconvenience to the film-makers she was working with by taking time out for the event.

Aishwarya Rai makes Bengalis Go crazy

Shooting has been proceeding at a hectic pace for Mani Ratnam's Raavan starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. The entire unit is currently stationed in Kolkata, and sources report that fans line up from as early as 5 a.m. just to have a glimpse of the former Miss World and follow her to the ghat where she is shooting.

An interesting snippet is that for a specific sequence, Aishwarya had to shoot in a boat and the entire ghat was filled with onlookers; several of them even tried swimming towards the boat just to get a closer look at the beauty queen. In fact, the unit members had a tough time handling the crowd as fans kept shouting 'I love you'. Immediately after Abhishek arrived, the 'I love you' chant changed to boudi (sister-in-law in Bengali). This amused the entire unit, and every one, including Mani Ratnam, burst out laughing!

After Ash, it's Katrina kaif as Barbie!

After ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai, it's Salman Khan's current flame Katrina's turn to doll up, but for the ramp...

How cute can a fashion event get? Apparently, very, very cute... if you’ve got Barbie kicking it off, as the Lakme Fashion Week Fall/Winter’09 that starts in Mumbai today does. At 1 pm, the world’s most popular and admired fashion icon celebrates her 50th anniversary by showcasing the best in fashion design talent across the globe.

Yes, after making an unforgettable style statement at New York’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Barbie will now walk the ramp at India’s foremost fashion event. This show called Barbie – All Doll’d Up! is the style sweetheart’s first in India and will showcase real-size, Barbie-inspired looks put together by renowned fashion designers from across the country including Wendell Rodricks, Neeta Lulla, Shantanu & Nikhil, Vikram Phadnis and others.

Barbie boasts five decades of fashion heritage, working with more fashion designers than any other brand in the world, and in the process becoming a star admired by major couturiers who dream to get their names associated with the most popular doll in history.

Taking off from New York, the world famous brand invited Indian designers to a contest to celebrate Barbie’s 50th birthday by creating designs with the doll as their muse. The winning designer (who will be announced today at the fashion show) was then invited to design the finale outfit of the event for a one-of-a-kind Barbie doll... and walking the ramp as the showstopper wearing that outfit today will be Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif.

Katrina is delighted with the honour, more so because a Barbie doll bearing likeness to the Bollywood actress is in the pipeline and will come as a great surprise to the world sometime soon. “Every girl at some point of time in her childhood has played with a Barbie doll,” admitted Katrina, “and so have I. She makes a sweet, fun and lively companion.”

It is true, Barbie is the world’s only brand that allows girls to imagine themselves as a mermaid to a movie star, a fairy to a fashionista, and a princess to a president, serving a purpose to girls as they try on different personalities, careers, and explore the world and all of its possibilities without ever having to leave home. She allows girls to dream beyond and know that a woman has choices, having herself represented more than 100 careers in her lifetime.

Aishwarya slipped away from Barbie dreams

‘I am a Barbie girl’ – Well, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would no more sing these words. Of course, it wouldn’t be a favorite song for this girl anymore. Quite puzzling, isn’t? The World’s beauteous woman often crowned for various titles was approached to be endorsed as Barbie Girl. But due to her professional commitments she had to postpone their Endeavour. At the turn of the century by which time Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had become a house hold name the world over Mattel again proposed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan endorse the Barbie doll but as her prior commitments stretched her for time she had to decline yet again. The turn of the millennium special edition celebrity doll was to feature Naomi Campbell etc .

Here again on the eve of the favorite doll’s 50th Anniversary, Aishwarya is still the most sought after celebrities to be impersonated as a celebrity Barbie. Mattel was also keen to have her walk the ramp on Lakme Fashion Week ‘Barbie dolled up’ in a winning design as Single Likeness Barbie, which would be unveiled and auctioned for a charity of her choice. Conversely due to her prior commitments (filming of Vipul Shah’s Action Replay & her being honored Padmashree) she opted out of the event as she did not want to inconvenience the producer/director anymore while taking time out to this event.

Rai sprung to fame when she won the Miss World contest in 1994, which spawned a lucrative modelling and acting career.

She made the transition to Hollywood with starring roles in Bride and Prejudice, Mistress of Spices, The Last Legion and more recently in Pink Panther 2 alongside Steve Martin.

She became the face of L'Oréal cosmetics in 2005 and is one of only two Indian film stars to have their waxwork image displayed at Madame Tussaud's.

She formally became a member of Bollywood's "royal family" when she married actor Abhishek Bachchan, the son of India's most popular star Amitabh Bachchan.

Now she is set to join the ranks of Hollywood immortals and pop divas like Beyoncé Knowles, Elizabeth Taylor, and Diana Ross, who have all had "celebrity Barbies" modelled on them.

Rai's representatives were yesterday reported to be in negotiations with the toy manufacturer as it plans to transform the iconic doll into a Bollywood star and sell it throughout India.

If successful, the new Barbie will have Miss Rai's striking green eyes, and wear outfits created by India's top designers.

Ash-Abhi's Ravaana Story revealed

If my trusted aides are to be believed, the much guarded plot of Mani Ratnam's Abhishek – Aishwarya starrer bilingual Ravana is doing the rounds already!

The story of the film goes like this: Abhishek Bachchan's sister gets publicly humiliated by the character played by South star Vikram.

An angry Abhishek seeks revenge and storms into Vikram’s house. But he doesn't find him there. Wanting to teach him a lesson, Abhishek kidnaps Vikram's wife played by Aishwarya Rai.

Chased by the police, Abhishek hides in the nearby jungle. And guess what? Both of Abhi-Ash end up falling in love.

What follows next forms the rest of the film. Ravana is supposedly a modern day take on the Ramayana with Abhishek playing the title role. But it's Abhi-Ash's love affair that brings in the twist in the tale. Mani's wife Suhasini makes her Bollywood debut with Ravana.

According to grapevine Govinda's character is a take on Hanuman from Ramayana who aides Vikram to reach Abhishek.

Ravi Kissen plays Abhishek's trusted aide while Nikhil Dwivedi plays a cop. The film in its Tamil version will be called Ashokavanam with Prithviraj Sukumar playing Abhishek's role.

Actress-dancer Shobana has done the choreography.

Ash's bhabhi ready for Bollywood!

The first 'bahu' of Bollywood, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, may have competition back home from sis-in-law Shrima Rai, who won first runners-up at the Mrs India contest. We speak to the lady...

How did Mrs India happen?
I was busy with investment consulting for Standard Chartered, when I decided to send my portfolio to Gladrags. I was shortlisted and here I am.

All your family was there except Aishwarya. Why?
All my family was there to support me. Pa-in-law and mom-in-law were nervous, but Aditya was the most nervous! Ash could not come as she was busy shooting for her film, but that didn’t stop her from calling and messaging me.

Did you get some modelling tips from her?
Ash is a pro at walkign the ramp and has won pageants too. She shared some tips with me regarding the walk and expressions, but the one important thing she told me was that I should forget about everything and just enjoy the experience. And that actually helped me a lot.

Tell us about your chemistry with the Rai family. How did you meet Aditya?
Aditya and I are distantly related and met at a party hosted by a common aunt. We hit it off instantly and soon decided to marry. After the marriage, we stayed with his family for three years and that was when I bonded with Aishwarya too. Aishwarya has always been this bubbly girl.

Did she discuss her personal relationships at home?
Like any other person, she did discuss her personal stories too. But, it wouldn't be correct for me to comment now. She’s happily settled with Abhishek and I'm happy for her.

What do you like best about Abhi-Ash?
They are one of the cutest couples I have ever known. They are so close that they complete each others’ sentences. It's absolute fun to watch them narrate their experiences, of a shoot or anything else. They both add so much humour to it that by the end of it we're in splits. They also tease each other like kids.

Are you open to movie or modelling offers?
I haven’t been approached so far, but yes, I'm open to such offers.

Any directors you would like to work with?
Mira Nair, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rituparna Ghosh, Karan Johar... I like their work and everyone of them has a different vision and it would be a dream to explore them all!

Who are the actors you really admire in Bollywood?
I would start with Ash, then Rani, Kangana, Abhishek, Shah Rukh Khan, Amit Uncle and Aamir Khan!

Aishwarya-Abhishek lovemaking scene deleted RAVAANA

Aishwarya Rai sexy
Wary of kicking up a controversy, director Mani Ratnam has decided to axe a lovemaking scene between Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan in his movie Ravana .

The movie is said to be the modern interpretation of the ancient epic Ramayana with Abhishek playing the villain and Aishwarya playing a character similar to Sita. In the film, Ash, a married woman, is kidnapped by Abhishek and taken into a forest. Abhishek apparently has grouse against Ash’s husband (played by Vikram ).

In the forest, an attraction develops between Ash and Abhi.

According to latest buzz from the film’s unit, the movie originally had a love scene between Ash and Abhi. But Mani Ratnam has deleted it from the script because he doesn’t want to create an unnecessary controversy that might enrage religious groups and self-appointed moral brigades.

However, there would be a subtle romantic track between the characters played by Ash and Abhi.

The movie also stars Govinda as Hanuman and Nikhil Dwivedi as Laxman.

A long schedule of the film was recently completed in Kolkata.

Gunning for hubby: Ash

Mumbai: Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan gets miffed when people say she is more inclined to work with her hubby Abhishek Bachchan these days. She hits back at people making such comments, but adds that she had always enjoyed working with Abhishek right from the days of Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke (2000) - their first film together.

"I'm doing films with others too. I have an Akshay Kumar film (by Vipul Shah) coming up. I'm doing Endhiran with Rajnikanth. I'm quite open to good films but yes we have been getting a lot of offers to star together and I'm thoroughly enjoying working with him. We have a good connection," Ash says.

The Bachchan bahu adds: "I have always enjoyed Abhi's company and I'm very comfortable with him. In fact right from our first film, then Kuch Na Kaho and then many more, I could feel that we have a connection. I'm grateful to the audience for liking us too."

Aishwarya and Abhishek have also starred in films like Guru, Umrao Jaan, Sarkar Raj, Dhoom:2 and are also starring in Mani Ratnam's Raavan, Abhinay Deo's yet untitled film and Rajiv Menon's Sur, which is a remake of Abhimaan.

"It is really great that people want to cast us together," she says with her trademark million dollar smile.

We also quizzed the former Miss World about how she feels when her hubby dies in a film like Sarkar Raj or is beaten up badly in Delhi 6. Does it make her eyes wet?

"I was ok with the scene in Delhi 6, but in Sarkar Raj I got very disturbed when he 'dies'. I was doing the scene with him and I remember screaming out and breaking down into tears in that scene. Life and cinema had blurred for me at that moment. It was very unnerving. I didn't know what had happened to me, the set was so quiet. It was an overwhelming experience," she ends.

Junior Bachchan has a high regard for his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Though media cooked many conflicting stories of them, on the show Oye It’s Friday, hosted by Farhan Akhtar, Abhishek Bachchan proved all those stories wrong and revealed the secret of their successful relationship. He never mess with Ash as they understand each other well and the best part of Ash is that she cares and loves Abhi’s parents more than him.

What makes Ash-Abhi’s relationship more beautiful and grip is that Abhi never ever mess with Ash and also does not feel insulted on bowing before his wife if he does any wrong. He said, “I am not the kind of person who thinks you lose face when you apologize.” Bachchan confessed that he has grown up with women - his mother, an elder sister and three cousins and therefore understands the strength and importance of women. He feels that women are much superior to men.

He said, “We men are nothing. So don’t ever mess with women. They have a fantastic ability to sulk. They remember everything. So there’s no point fighting with them because you will never win. And you know what’s worse? Even when you fight, at the end of the day you want to sleep peacefully. You certainly don’t want to end up on the couch. Always remember that the woman holds the keys to the house!”

Abhi praises Ash in the following words, “Aishwarya isn’t hoity-toity at all. She’s a very normal lady. Very loving. I really love the way that she takes care of my parents. That means a lot to me. I am very particular about my parents. I care for them, as any son would. You are always tense about your wife’s relationship with your parents. But in our case, my wife’s best friend is my mother. She calls my parents more than I do. She’s really become part of the family. And to top it all, she manages to look beautiful even when you get up in the morning. Now that’s fantastic. Ash and I get along very well. She’s like my best friend.

Aishwarya “undergoes training to sing classical “

Aishwarya Rai undergoes training to sing classical Indian. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a thoroughly professional actress and she is ready to go the extra-mile to get under the skin of her character. For her upcoming movie, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will undergo training in Indian classical singing. According to news reports, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is going to play the character of Sita in Mani Ratnam’s movie, Raavan. The movie is based on famous Indian epic, Ramayana. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be playing the character of Sita and hubby Abhishek Bachchan will play the character of Ram and Govinda will play the role of Hanuman.

In real life, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is quite a good singer but not good enough to sing classical songs. For her role, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wants to sing all the songs by herself. She will take lessons from a guru.

Big B and Abhi together again

Now, here’s a real shocker. Grapevine is abuzz that movie ‘Paa’ has Amitabh Bachchan playing the son of Abhishek Bachchan !

Director R Balakrishnan (known as Balki), who wove a different magic with his funny love story between a young woman and a sexagenarian man in Cheeni Kum , is again trying some different dimensions of human relationships in his next movie Pa .

As the sweet, endearing title Paa (fondly used by Aishwarya Rai to address her father-in-law, Amitabh) suggests, the movie is about father-son relationship.

While it’s safe to assume that a film on such a theme will have Abhishek playing the son to Big B, the case with ‘Paa’ is shockingly inverse. Reports have it that Amitabh plays the son, while Abhishek plays the father. The film’s story is about a man who ages at a faster pace and thus looks much older then his actual age.

Perhaps that explains why Mr. Bachchan has to sit for three-hour make-up sessions before shooting the film and three hours more to remove the make-up after the shoot is over. However, Big B’s look and the plot of the film are being guarded zealously by Balki.

What is known, however, is that the script intrigued Mr. Bachchan so much that he immediately said yes to the project. Abhishek came on board later. The movie also features Vidya Balan in female lead.

While Balki refuses to reveal anything about the film’s story, if Big B indeed plays the son to Abhishek, it might go on to prove the famous quote by William Wordsworth: “The child is father of the man”.

Aishwarya Rai Vivek Comes Face to Face

Being in the same industry, this had to happen. And to tell the truth, tinsel town was waiting for this moment since the day Aishwarya Rai and Vivek Oberoi broke up. The ex-lovers bumped into each other at the recent Filmfare awards. Though they tried obviously to avoid each other, Ash and Vivek had to come face-to-face. Ash and hubby Abhi arrived right when Vivek was giving bites to the media and posing for the cameras. But the Bachchan bahu, being the diplomacy queen she is, pretended that she hadn’t seen her ex lover at all. She in fact started chatting with her husband Abhishek. They sat inside their car till Vivek finished and went inside. Vivek, however, noticed this and was rather pissed off. He left the venue soon after.

Will Aishwarya Rai Turn out to be a Politician

aishwarya rai

Will Aishwarya Rai fight Lok Sabha elections on Samajwadi party ticket? The question has become more intense following the sudden announcement of Sanjay Dutt’s candidature from Lucknow on Samajwadi party ticket.

It seems amazing but unfortunate that a follower of Lohiya, Mulayam Singh Yadav has started running behind Bollywood stars, even tainted ones in order to win some Parliamentary seats.

It is not just an issue of Aishwarya Rai. She is a wonderful woman and a great actress, but there are already several Bollywood personalities who anyhow overshadow this Lohiyaite Mulayam Singh Yadav.

There are already two Jayas, Jaya Parda and Jaya Bachchan. Now there will be along list of other stars who will give company to these Bollywood personalities.

Samajwadi party is trying to rope in everyone it seems fit to win election to contest next Lok Sabha elections for it. Just two days ago the party announced the name of Sanjay Dutt as a candidate from Lucknow Lok Sabha seat.

Aishwarya’s in-laws are good friends of Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh and Mulayam Singh Yadav. Her mother in law Jaya Bachchan is a Rajya Sabha MP of Samajwadi Party.

Aishwarya Rai is one of the most successful actresses of Bollywood and she can be a sure bet for Samajwadi Party provided she decides to plunge in the dirty waters of politics.

When most actress of her age have turned dotting wives and moms, the former beauty queen is experimenting in new and newer roles that are coming her way. She is still much in demand in Bollywod and also in Kollywood from where she began her acting stint.

Aishwarya Interviewed at RAVAANA Launch

Bachchan Jr and Aishwarya have turned mythological these days, thanks to Mani Ratnam's RAVAANA where they play the title role and Sita respectively. The film is now being shot in Kolkata. A light-heated tete-a-tete with the duo on 'intense' factors of life.

Why is that no unit member ready to tell what RAVAANA is going to be like? Abhishek: Because, he (Ravaana) is not a cool guy to mess up with (bursts into laughter). I will answer that...it's because of a few reasons. The film is director Mani Ratnam's dream project and a tough one too. It's not a modern-day Ramayana, but Mani's own interpretation of the epic set in today's time. So, all cast and crew need to focus intensely on their roles to understand the character and interpret it on-screen. There must not be any interferences or diversions. Besides, it's not the right time to promote the film...we are still shooting for it. If we talk to media about it now, there are ample chances that journos will misinterpret the entire thing and hence it will send wrong vibes to the audience. And an additional reason for me not talking to press is because of my tight schedule. If you ever work for Mani in future, you will understand he keeps his shooting schedules so tight-knit that you can har

But, despite your tight schedule, you made it to DELHI 6 premiere and Filmfare Awards ? That's what love makes you do dear. I wanted to be with Abhishek my best pal and hubby-to encourage him on the release of his new film. And, Filmfare Awards is the Oscar of Bollywood. So, really couldn't afford to miss on that.

So Aishwarya is playing 'Sita' and Abhishek 'Ravaana' ? My name in the film is not 'Sita' (at least, as of now). But the character I play have traits of Sita. Abhishek: Yes, I am playing 'Ravaana'.

In Ramayana, Sita is faithful only to Ram. But here at the shoots, we are seeing a Sita dancing with Ravaana? Abhishek: Actually, I bribed the scriptwriter so that I am allowed to romance my wife on-screen, no matter what roles we play. On a more serious note, I told you it's a Mani Ratnam film and to know the truth audience have to wait for the release of the film.

This is your sixth film together. Any complaints against each other as co-actors? Abhishek: Sachch bolke biwi haathon pithna nehi hai! (laughs aloud) No...honestly...no complaints. Ash is the best co-actor one can ever get. She is one of the biggest stars of Bollywood and a name in Hollywood, still she is so down-to-earth. She makes her co-actor comfortable from Scene 1, irrespective of the fact whether he is a star or a newcomer. Abhishek and I have never been paired the conventional way-as in, man-wife, on-screen. Starting from DHAI AKSHAR PREM KE , where we were pretending as husband-wife, to KUCHH NA KAHO, where I am someone else's wife and still fall in love with him, or UMRAO JAAN , where it's a failed love story, and SARKAR RAJ, where he is a married man, we hardly got to be romantic on screen. Even in GURU, it's all about the protagonist's life story. I really wished someone to cast us as romantic pair, hopefully that's going to happen in Rajeev Menon's DHUN.

We heard that DHUN is a remake of Amitabh-Jaya starrer ABHIMAAN? Abhishek: The script is somewhat similar, but it's not a remake. How can one even think of remaking a masterpiece like ABHIMAAN! It's a musical love story.

Abhimaan is often said to be based on real life story of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan... Abhishek: It's surprising that the media know more about my parents than I do. I don't think it's good to mix reel and real life.

My question is, how much chances are there for a ABHIMAAN-like situation in your life? Abhi-Ash: Zero percent. Abhishek: Let me clarify, we are all grown-ups and hardcore professionals. Be it pa or ma, or me or Ash, we have learnt to keep our work outside before getting inside our home. There is no competition and can't be. We are all different individuals with our respective style of work. We are all very secure about our professional as well as personal life.

Aren't you a little upset not getting a Padma Shri like Ash? Abhishek: Not at all. I don't think I have done anything to deserve that honour so far. On second thoughts, I have got a Padma Shri -whatever belongs to me is Ash's and vice-versa. So her award is mine as well.

So you are happy for her? Abhishek: Wish could explain my happiness for her. I am so proud that my girl has got the honour she deserves for years. Abhishek is my source of inspiration. He is always so supportive. Whenever I am confused and don't know what to do, I look at him and he solves the duality in me like magic. He is the real 'Padma Shri' and I'm his 'Padma Shrimati' (giggles).

You are going to complete two years of marriage. Any special plans for your anniversary? Abhishek: That's for us to do and us to know. I am sure loads of pleasant surprises are awaiting me. Abhishek: And for me too.
